This is a very difficult moment for me…
Let me explain.
This evening, I felt like ordering Indian food. I love Indian food of any kind. I checked the local restaurants, andwmy stomach started enjoying the experience. I got hungry as hell.
Delivery times were estimated to be after kids’ bedtime. It didn’t take long for us to decide that we would feed the kids leftovers from the fridge, and we would wait for the food.
We fed the kids, looking forward to the moment they would sleep and our food would arrive.
Ten minutes into the feeding session, the doorbell rings. The delivery guy. Forty minutes earlier than indicated. Son of a bitch. Of all days to be early, you choose today?
I’m trying to get these two Muppets to sleep, but while my son seems to be out already, my daughter is not showing any signs of going to sleep.
… but there’s such nice food waiting.
Life. Is. Difficult.
(It’s also pretty good today.)
Kid. Go to sleep!
Now!
Oh, I know this so well!!

Lol, I’m not experienced with kids yet, but I do know the feeling of having the best laid-out plans going into the crapper because all the wrong events just decided to happen—just because. It sucks because you’ve already visualised (and enjoyed) the event in your head beforehand. I guess that’s why they say life’s like a box of chocolates.
