Jot down the first thing that comes to your mind.
I discovered today that my new garden houses a thriving population of sand lizards (Lacerta agilis). This means nothing to no one. But for me, this has always been a childhood dream. A garden with a sunny terrace, where lizards would be crawling all over. Obviously all reptiles are cool, but sand lizards in particular are amazing little creatures, which kickstarted my love for herpetology when I was 7 years old. I didn’t have a camera with me today, as I was doing gardening work, but I promise some day soon I will spend a long time photographing them, even if only to prove everyone that it was a fantastic childhood dream, that these little beasts are beautiful, and that my garden is a great place!
Some flower pictures from yesterday to make up for it.

Finally no more snakes. Lizards I can do ๐

Don’t worry. The snakes are still there! I’ll write a post for you soon… ๐
I have yet to spot snakes in my backyard, but honestly, it is excellent habitat for smooth snakes and grass snakes. Vipers we don’t have in this particular area I think. A shame, of course.
