No escape…

For the first time in a very long time, we’ll stay at home for the weekend. We usually escape the house, because we don’t want to walk on eggshells all day long to keep the downstairs psycho witch off her broom. Me and the team had some spontaneous field work this morning, and that took us longer than expected, because some new ideas popped up in my mind while doing it. We’re now running some tests to see whether these ideas are indeed viable. If yes, it might just be worth pursuing.

Anyway, because I was only home at half past one this afternoon, Heike wasn’t sure whether it would be a good idea to escape in our campervan this weekend. I think we should have, but accepted her reasons not to. I was too toasted to argue much anyway.

She said that instead we will watch a movie this evening, I think. Although I’m pretty sure I will be watching the inside of my eyelids. This week has been absolutely insane on all fronts. Tired is my new middle name. The inside of my eyelids is a welcome sight.

Tansy field work in our common garden this morning
A second tansy field experiment run by me and the team. Next week we will run various assays and samplings here as well. I’m very happy with the way this bad boy turned out – it was designed with leftover plants from last year that would have otherwise been compost pile material.
