Flash visit

Short post today. I just returned to Germany from a flash visit to the Netherlands, where Heike had a bachelorette party on Saturday, and I had a bachelor party today. Unrelated weddings.

I never ‘got’ what bachelor parties were about. Most seem to be a way to embarrass the groom to be. In this case, the groom had insisted on a high tea for so long z that we did just that. Seven dudes uncomfortably seated at the fully made table with heart print-covered plates and tea pots. He seemed to be totally in his element.

I’m not sure if it fit the bill for a proper bachelor party, but it was fun to see some friends after not seeing them since December ’19…

Unfortunately the way back was slower than I’d hoped, including some Baustelle-caused traffic jams.

We’ll drive the last bit in the morning.
