Four days! Four days is the incubation time of the average kindergarten virus. You’re safe for four days, when you bring your child to one of these. After that, you’re fucked.
For us that was yesterday…
Yesterday morning, our boy had a running nose. Generally nothing to worry about in a two year-old. I cleaned it twice, and forgot about it the rest of the day. And seemingly, so did he. By dinnertime, he seemed to have recovered. The moment he touched his bed, he started coughing, and pretty much continued all night.
This morning seemed somewhat better. The night had been rather restless, but he slept until 8 without any difficulty. Over the course of today, his cough came back and now it more or less sounds like his lungs are lined with crackling cellophane.
Let’s hope he sleeps this night…
